The lovely Island of Iona off the west coast of Scotland, warmed by the Gulf Stream and boasting beautiful silvery beaches, has hardly changed in places since St. Columbas arrived in AD563 and built a monastery there. He was a peace- loving man whose name means "a dove" Today many visitors & pilgrims visit the island & return refreshed by it's peace and tranquility. Here is one of Columba"s prayers which i'd like to share with you; Be thou a bright flame before me, Be thou a guiding star above me, Be thou a smooth path below me, Be thou a kindly shepherd behind me, Today........tonight.........and forever.
