Book depicting satan as good? or satans perspective?

theres a book i remember about satans perspective after being banished from heaven. another angel is actually the traitor but the blame gets placed on satan and thats how he gets banished. i forget the name of it and no im not thinking about paradise lost. this book came out in the 80's. the book i found was at a borders but ive had no luck finding it againif anyone knows the story im talking about or knows of anything like it please let me know
