Who was Miss Venezuela 1975? Maria Conchita Alonso or Maritza Pineda?

The official Miss Venezuela website lists Maritza Pineda as the winner and Maria Conchita Alonso (Yes, the actress) as first runner up but it lists Ms. Alonso as representing Venezuela at the Miss World 1975 (taking fifth runner up). The Miss World website confirms this. I have seen many conflicting references naming one or the other. I also saw an Jay Leno interview from the 1980s w/Ms. Alonso in which it was stated that she had been Miss Venezuela. This leads me to believe that Ms. Alonso was first runner up at the pageant and later Ms. Pineda could not fulfill her responsibilities, thus being replaced by Ms. Alonso. So what happened? Why was Ms. Pineda unable to complete her reign? scandal?
