Do movies make you dumb and lazy?

i love to watch netflix.com movies all day! on my vacation days. and on occasion i get really lazy and forgetful. but the only movie that seemed to make me learn alot of new vocab. words. was the movie called. Easy A... i learnd alot from that movie.. but just in mind perspective.. is it possible movies can make you lazy and tired and addicted. and then ends up getting you somewhat dumbd down in school..? because if it does. then i should limit it down. to only 1 movie per week..
