Palm Centro or Samsung Instinct?

I need a new phone because my mom disconnected my service and so my dad's going to buy me a new phone and I'm debating on the Palm Centro and the Samsung Instinct. I'm huge on texting and I need a phone that's great like my old Samsung Upstage. I text alot and want a sleek new phone that I can use for a while. Has anone had one of these phones? What are the pros and cons?
