Provoked into gross misconduct?

I wouldn't resign..Apologise and preferably in front of your employer,suggesting that the two of you call quits on the sniping ,and start again..The trouble is there are people who can't tell the difference between humour and bl**dy rudeness..You can come out of this on top if you play it right.............
